Thank you for purchasing a Flourishing Fibers design! I love supporting independent crafters, makers, and small businesses. This Angel Policy outlines how you can safely use my paper embroidery patterns to create handmade items for sale while protecting the intellectual property of the original artwork.
What is Permitted (The "Yes" List)
- 100% Handmade: Items must be personally hand-stitched and assembled by you, the original purchaser.
- Finished Products Only: You may sell fully completed physical projects (e.g., a fully stitched greeting card, framed paper art, or finished ornament).
- Small-Batch Limit: You may sell up to 100 finished items per calendar year across all Flourishing Fibers designs.
- Charity & Fundraising: Selling your finished hand-stitched items for local fundraisers, charity events, or hospital donations is fully permitted and does not count against your annual limit.
What is Strictly Prohibited (The "No" List)
- No "Raw" Component Sales: You may not sell unstitched, pre-punched paper cards, cut diorama panels, or unstitched kits using these templates. The hand embroidery must be completed by you prior to sale.
- No Mass Production: The use of assembly lines, hiring out stitching to piece-workers, or factory production is strictly forbidden.
- No Machine Translation: These patterns are for hand-embroidery only. You may not digitize the templates to be run through automated embroidery machines or CNC tools.
- No Digital Redistribution: The original PDF patterns, SVG files, and instruction manuals may not be shared, sold, swapped, or distributed online or in person.
- No Derivative Designs: You may not alter the hole-punch layouts, change a few design elements, and claim the resulting pattern as your own original work.
Copyright & Credit Requirements
- Retained Rights: Flourishing Fibers retains the copyright to all designs, illustrations, and pattern instructions.
- Physical Credit: When selling in person (e.g., at a craft fair), the back of the item or its physical tag must state: “Pattern design by Flourishing Fibers.”
- Online Credit: When selling online (e.g., Etsy or a personal website), the product description must prominently feature a credit line and a link: “Paper embroidery pattern designed by Flourishing Fibers.”
Policy Enforcement
